Metal power tool bits can be cleaned by soaking the bits in Purrell hand sanitizer overnight. After soaking overnight the bit should be clean and any wood bits should have fallen off the bit. You can also clean a bit while using it by soaking in Perrell for 1 hour while using another bit. Purrell will soften up the wood bits and you can use a brass brush to remove the wood bits. Alternate between the two bits to keep working all day etc.   New  8-31-2014
